The Purpose of Gathering Intuitively

For years, I have had this burning fire deep within my heart to break free from all traditional patterns of life and to travel the world. To seek and wander, guided by the elements in nature that ground me to the Earth and Sky. To follow an itinerary based on instincts of seasons, colors, cultures, languages, foods, people, music, movement, and holistic well being. I have had this craving for life and continuous exploration, with a thirst for meeting all of the people who inspire me in my life. When the social media boom of Instagram first introduced itself, I began following people, visual stories, and short stories that seemed absolutely profound to me. I used to screenshot photos (before they had the save collection board) just so I could remember the glimmer of inspiration, of mere possibility, that they gave to me. As my palette of inspiration grew, so did my own talents, my own manifested visions for who I truly wanted to be. I began designing clothing for women and men that altered their understanding of dressing the body as a key element to their health. I began taking photographs of people in their most passionate elements in life. I earned my yoga teaching certificate so I could expand my outreach of influencing people’s lives, healing them through my voice, guided physical movement, and the healing power of touch. And I shared my cooking, my vibrant way of creating meals without recipes and no boundaries. Slowly, I began growing a deeper passion for sharing my voice and my own visual story, and thus, Gathering Intuitively was born. 

While living in Portland, Oregon, I had my first opportunity to connect a body of entrepreneurial women all together in the same room . Real women who were just as passionate and clear minded as I was, but who also were vulnerable, who had struggles, and who weren’t afraid to share their journey that included both ups and downs. It was the first time that I truly recognized the seed that lies within each of us. The root of our souls that every ounce of passion, of outreach, of vision for life grows from. Surrounded by so much beauty, so many healing voices, exploratory spirits, exceptional visionaries collaborating, networking, opening their hearts, finding their voice, offering their own guidance and accepting others, this first Gathering event changed my life. 

My name is Megan Mary Mitchell, and I want to travel the world with a mission. I want to share my voice and my vision alongside entrepreneurs who follow their own hearts and their own passions. I don’t want to interview women and men or their businesses. I want to earn the privilege of knowing them, of honoring their purpose, of sharing their story and their mission and how they continue on in their own path of changing people’s lives through their work. I want to adventure both domestically and internationally to compare cultures, languages, seasons, foods, music, colors, photographs, clothing, women’s rights and empowerment. I want to be a source for connection, collaboration, expansion, and inspiration. When people discover Gathering Intuitively, I want it to serve as a platform to connect them with like minded women who can inspire them to build their best self, while also giving them the strength to find confidence, to feel worthy of their talents, and have the courage to reach out and join the magnificent movement of women’s entrepreneurialism. 

It is my mission to connect the makers, the doers, the movers, the dreamers, the believers, and the lovers in this world through the written and visual creation of Gathering Intuitively.
